Professorship

The Family Business Center of Hawaii (FBCH) committed $1 million to establish the Family Business Center of Hawaii Distinguished Professorship at the Shidler College of Business, University of Hawaii at Manoa. This endowment will enable the recruitment and retention of top-tier faculty specializing in family business, enhancing the academic and research capabilities of the college.

Through this, The Family Business Center of Hawaii aims to expand faculty expertise in family business at the Shidler College of Business, attracting and retaining top-tier educators and researchers. The appointed professor will serve as the FBCH faculty director, guiding the center’s initiatives, teach family business courses to enrich students’ education, and conduct research to address the unique challenges and opportunities faced by family-owned enterprises.
