Please join us for a follow-up workshop to Cynthia Kitagawa’s presentation on “Conquering the Generational Divide.” Four generations are represented in our workforce today: Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Generation X-ers & Millennials. Understanding the different paradigms of each generation, and how they impact personal values and drive behavior may help you better navigate through tricky family business workplaces. Learn why your grandparents/parents/son/daughter behave the way they do at home and at work.

About the Speaker

Cynthia works with local and national organizations to help them achieve peak performance by clarifying their direction and strategy, strengthening their leadership and management bench, and engaging employees in the mission of the organization. She is passionate about helping people make work rewarding. She believes that in high performance organizations, regardless of industry or company size, people enjoy what they do and do their jobs well, and the organization and customers they serve are rewarded by the value they create.

Soon after starting Insight Consulting & Training in 2004, Cynthia recognized the impact of generational differences on an organization’s ability to achieve peak performance. Since then, more than 5000 people have participated in her engaging “Conquering the Generational Divide” workshops and she has become the local Generational Differences SME (Subject Matter Expert). She has over 30 years of professional experience in the areas of organizational development and training, wireless telecommunications, information technology, sales and marketing, and customer service. She held positions as Senior Marketing Representative at IBM, IT User Support Manager at Kamehameha Schools, and Program Manager/Director at AT&T Wireless, assisting with the launch of new generation technology in major markets across the country. Cynthia understands the challenges to create and sustain high performance work environments and the skills required to tackle them. She partners with her clients to guide them on their journey to high performance.

Cynthia is certified to administer a variety of assessments: MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®) personality assessment, People Skills® behavioral styles assessment, BarOn EQi® and EQ360™ emotional intelligence assessments, and Teams That Work® team effectiveness assessment. She is also a certified Human Capital Strategist and Change Cycle® facilitator.

Cynthia and her husband relocated to Hawaii in early 2011, after living in the Seattle area for 11 years, allowing her to focus more on her Hawaii-based consulting practice. She serves as a Board Manager of the Atherton YMCA. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, making beaded jewelry and engaging with her three young adult children.
