Menehune Mac was founded in 1939 and asserts to be the oldest, continuously operating chocolate company in Hawai‘i. The business currently produces 1.5 million pounds of hand-made chocolate per year from a 25,000 sq. foot production facility in Kalihi. Mr. Arakaki took over the reins of the company after his father passed away in 2004. He will share his personal triumphs and tribulations in establishing a family business legacy.
