O'ahu Special Meeting - State of Hawaii Estate Tax Laws

Mark Fukunaga, Executive Chair of Servco Pacific Inc., will discuss the initiatives of a coalition comprised of 32 family businesses advocating for modifications to the State of Hawaii Estate Tax Law.

Currently, there are four bills that have been introduced, with three already passed in committee. The proposed changes include items such as:

• increasing the exemption from $5.5 million to $13 million,
• excluding the value of family businesses from estate tax calculations,
• and expanding the marital exemption to include children, parents, siblings, and more.
