Gretchen has 23 years of experience in the financial services industry working with individuals and small business owners in the areas of planning and implementing a custom strategy in the areas of retirement, college funding, estate planning, and business succession planning. She helps her clients reach their goals by advising them on investments, as well as life, disability, and long term care insurance. She also works with businesses in assisting in their due diligence for 401(k)s, pension plans, and group benefits. She is the owner of Horizon Financial, LLC, as well as a registered representative for Mass Mutual and MML Investor Services. She holds life and health insurance licenses in multiple states, and is series 7 and 65 securities licensed.

After graduating from University of California, Irvine with a Bachelors degree and an Associates degree from the Art Institute of Seattle, she began her career in Bellevue Washington. She studied and earned the designations of Chartered Financial Consultant and Chartered Life Underwriter, and Certified Family Business Specialist through the American College, Bryn Mawr, PA. In addition, she is a Corporate Registered Investment Adviser through MML Investor Services. Her mission at Horizon Financial, LLC is to help individuals, families, and business owners build and preserve their lifestyles by offering education, advice, products and service. She has been serving Maui County clients since 2000.
